We recently received confirmation that South West Healthcare have stated the following with regard to the Warrnambool Hospital Redevelopment:
"We remain committed to improving the health outcomes of older teenagers/ young adults and also to developing a space for them and therefore have considered including the following in new designs...
1. Ability to separate ages on the paediatric wards and also the new inpatient wards
2. Study space, therapy space and recreation room on the paediatric ward for teenagers/adolescents to use
3. Small number of rooms that have art work and furnishings more appropriate to older teenagers/younger adults.
